The making of this album has spanned a period of over 4 years. It began as my attempt to both document the "Ragamakamtar version #9", as well as create a 'trio' album of a somewhat 'Oriental Blues' nature of material that can be reproduced LIVE. The composing began in 2012 immediately following the release of my previous album "Pilgrim". This composing coincided with a period in which I was listening to and studying the history of the Beatles. Therefore the influence of this group can be heard slightly on some of the early composed tracks.

Most of the percussion was played by master CAJON player Akash Bhatt, and it was the very close collaboration with him that has lead to the success of this album. Most of the BASS playing was done by virtuoso Czech bassist Marian Friedl with whom I had been collaborating with for a couple of years. Marian bass playing forms a backbone of this album and add a distinctive JAZZ feeling.

The result is a music which emits elements of Rock, Indian classical, Ottoman classical, Arabic, and Jazz music. The distinctive clear tone of Ragmakamtar (version #9) is the thread which holds it all together and creates the hypnotic flow.
